What is the best rum for a Daiquiri? For the classic recipe, a light white rum. The drink has only three ingredients, so the rum has to be clean and smooth.
['h3', 'The classic Daiquiri']
The Daiquiri is a Cuban drink of rum, lime juice and sugar, shaken hard and served cold. The International Bartenders Association recipe is 45 ml white rum, 25 ml fresh lime juice and 20 ml sugar syrup, shaken with ice and strained into a chilled coupe.
['h3', 'What makes a rum good for a Daiquiri']
Look for a light, smooth white rum without strong spice or oak. Our blends are flavoured tropical spirit drinks, so none of them is a classic white-rum Daiquiri. If you want the traditional drink, use a plain white rum.

Pink Dream has hibiscus, grapefruit and blueberry notes. In a Daiquiri it adds a floral, fruity edge and a pink blush. Think of it as a twist on the classic.

Chill a coupe, shake everything hard for 10 to 12 seconds and double strain into the coupe. Garnish with a thin lime wheel.
['h3', 'Tips']
Always use fresh lime juice, shake with plenty of ice and serve in a chilled glass. Balance is everything: taste and adjust the syrup.
